React JS - Introduction

React JS - Introduction React JS also known as React. It is a JavaScript Library developed by Facebook in 2013 for building UI. React JS follows component-based-architecture , where UI is divided into multiple re-usable components. Components are the heart of React JS application. Components are re-usable sections. React JS uses virtual DOM mechanism, due to which it works very fast. The entire DOM is not loaded, only individual DOM is loaded. React JS is used to develop modern web applications. Few Key Features & Concepts of React : Components : React allows users to create re-usable components. JSX : It stands for JavaScript XML. It enables developers to write HTML-like syntax within JavaScript, making it easier to describe and render components. Virtual DOM : React JS uses virtual DOM. The entire page is not loaded, only component which is used is loaded or in other words, individual DOM is loaded. Unidirectional Data Flow : React follows unidirectional data flow, also known

React JS - Life Cycle Methods

Each component in React has a life cycle which we can monitor and manipulate during its three main phases : Mounting - when component is loaded Updating - when component is updated Unmounting - when component is removed To understand above React life cycle, we need to understand human life cycle. Human has three main phases : Birth Growth Death Each phase has different methods like child() , toddler(), teenager(), adult(), old(). Similarly, each React Life Cycle phase have different methods like : constructor(), render(), componentDidMount(), etc. The above life cycle methods works in Class Components only. To use Life cycle in Functional Component, we use Hooks.

Download and Install Node JS : https://nodejs.org/en/download Open Command Prompt Install React : npm install react Note : If React is already installed, then you can check React Version : npm view react version Download New React Project : npx create-react-app App-Name Note : App-Name is your project folder name Open VS Code and Open Project Folder.
